A Gorgeous Real Wedding - Cara-Iosa & Tom

We can easily get sidetracked by the little details of a wedding: the colours, the flowers, the shoes, the cake. But what is truly beautiful about the wedding of Cara-Iosa and Tom is the love and laughter present in every beautiful shot. Paul Duane Photography captured the bubbly personalities of this lovely family perfectly. "We walked to the church from my Mam's house as it's literally across the road and it was such a beautiful day. After the ceremony my sister in law had organised a limo for us to reception which was a lovely surprise!" [gallery type="rectangular" ids="389,390"] Were there any mishaps on the day? "Yes, but only I noticed. My Dad passed away four years ago so I wanted Mollie and TJ to walk down the aisle with me. TJ was a bit sick on the morning of the wedding and when we got to the church he had fallen asleep so it was just me and Moll heading down the aisle. I don't suppose anyone else noticed but when you have an idea of how you want things to be in your head, disappointment does set in if they don't work out. Walking down the aisle is emotional enough at the best of times!" [gallery type="rectangular" ids="408,407,394"] "Our photographers, Paul Duane (and Fiona), Loughrea - what a great investment. Paul just "got" me from the word go. I didn't want the typical lovey dovey, posed photos. That's just not us. We got exactly what we asked Paul for. Fun, relaxed pictures of our family and friends. Couldn't recommend him highly enough" [gallery type="rectangular" ids="404,403,396"] "Tom & I met in the pub of course, July 1998. We were on and off for many years until we finally got things right. Mollie (9) and TJ (3) followed. We made the decision to get married in January 2012. We booked the hotel and church then but didn't announce it. My uncle-in-law, Eli, who is a jeweller in San Francisco, made my engagement and wedding ring and we received them in July 2012. PURE TORTURE having the rings sitting in a drawer at home for seven months until we announced it on Christmas Day, 2012. I used to have a sneaky try on when no one was at home! We were both against a long engagement as a week is a very long time to kids, never mind 19 months." [gallery type="rectangular" ids="406,399,400"] It's easy to see from the photographs the love Cara-Iosa and Tom have for their family; the pictures of Mollie & TJ were the inspiration for their wedding invitations. "I wanted them to be fun and light hearted because I think the invites set the tone for the whole wedding. My workplace, O'Farrell Opticians, kitted the shop out with posters, pom poms etc. The posters of the kids were actually our invite pictures." [gallery type="rectangular" ids="409,398,401"] What was most memorable about the day to you? "Walking to the church from Mam's house, the sunny day, the music in the church (Ciara Conway), walking back down the aisle after the ceremony, the craic we had when the pictures were been taken, seeing Mollie and TJ running around enjoying themselves, the photobooth, Tom's face when he finally realised all the work I had put in! We both wanted a party where both sides, family and friends, mixed together and had a laugh. I think we achieved that!" What a beautiful spread and nice post. Do you work with these venues/photographers typically? Continuing to showcase their work so elegantly could allow you to forge great relationships with them and offer packages to your clients!
